We knew the film should be a fantasy with a touch of drama and action where the audience can relate due to the familiarity of the story. The creation of the story drew inspiration from Neil Gaiman’s Coraline film adaptation – where a button-eyed doll floats through the open window. We were struck by the strange feeling we get from watching the doll’s transformation. And so we decided to write a story about a young puzzle girl in a human form.
